Jazz Band

2023 - 2024
Information regarding jazz band will be distributed to students once the school year begins. Members have access to additional class documents and handouts through Google Classroom.  Parents, please ask your child to show you the "Jazz Band" information on their Google Classroom iPad app.

Updated January 31, 2024:

District 140 7th & 8th grade band (Concert and Symphonic) members who are interested in performing jazz music may join this band. In addition to jazz, this group also learns to play in swing, Latin, and rock styles.  The Jazz Band performs at concerts, festivals, and various special events. The Jazz Band rehearses once a week, after school at Prairie View.  

Depending on the number of students enrolled this year, there may be two jazz bands.

Mr. Szczasny and Mr. Hodges co-teach this ensemble.
