Principal's Message
It is hard to believe that we are half way through the school year. We are beginning a new semester! This gives us an opportunity for a fresh start, to change some habits that aren’t working and develop better habits that will impact our learning. It is important for our students to realize that: Education and learning are important to each of us; we continue to learn throughout our lifetime - this is what life is all about; the McAuliffe community is a learning community. McAuliffe’s Book Fair runs Monday, January 30th through Friday, February 3rd. After school shopping is also available for our families on Tuesday, January 31st and Thursday, February 2nd from 2:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Our next PTO Meeting is Thursday, February 2nd at 9:30 a.m. Please join us!
February Hot Lunch Days are 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, and 2/23.
Report Cards will be issued on Friday, February 3rd.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Room parties for Kindergarten & 1st grade will be held on Tuesday, February 14th from 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Our next Board of Education Meeting is Thursday, February 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the Administration Center.

START Day – Friday, March 2nd - Early Release for All Grades
Elementary Schools will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. and Middle Schools will be dismissed at 1:20 p.m. Early Childhood and Half-Day Kindergarten will be dismissed after 2 hours of student attendance.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2012-13 School Year - District 140 welcomes parents to Kindergarten Registration on Wednesday, March 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Parents should register at the elementary school building their child is scheduled to attend. If you are unsure which school
your child will attend, or need additional information, please call the Administration
