XIII. Audio Broadcasting Module
The Learner Will...
1. conduct three critical activities as they complete this module
2. during the News Stories activity, explain the important of identifying
the station name and call numbers prior to the broadcast, justify the news
story choices they made, explain the length of their chosen news stories
to comfortably fit into the 15-minute broadcast format, and record three
news stories in verbal format.
3. in Making Commercials, justify the two commercial topics they chose,
explain the purpose of using background music and/or sound effects in their
commercial, verbalize the ease or difficulty of creating a 15-30 second
commercial and explain the process of creating a 15-30 second commercial.
4. in the Final Broadcast, evaluate and make recommendations to improve
the quality of their broadcast program, explain the importance of a carefully
planned and practiced broadcast program, identify the importance of the
opportunity to operate the equipment and talk during the broadcast, and
complete a 15-minute final broadcast.
