Physical Education - 5th Grade

The Learner Will...

  1. Apply pattern dances to a specific rhythm or folk dance as an individual, partner or small group in combination with repeated sequences of movement (chorus).

  2.  
  3. Apply contact, receipt, propulsive object manipulation activities while varying the conditions of speed, level, size and weight of objects while maintaining awareness of safety using eye-hand-foot coordination, locomotor/non-locomotor movement and opposition in lead-up activities.

  5. Develop creative dance patterns and singing games using combinations of locomotor/non-locomotor movements and manipulative equipment that involve speed, direction, level, tempo, repetition in individual, partner and small group activity.

  7. Perform a variety of dual stunts, cooperative/combative activity using muscular strength, flexibility and balance at different levels in order to complete a movement pattern.

  9. Develop the ability to bear and transfer weight while performing on a variety of apparatus equipment and creating movement sequences while increasing the level of difficulty of the movement tasks.

  11. Perform transference of static weight-bearing support into dynamic balance patterns under the direction and level.
