Sergeant Major Kevin Greene, an active Army Reservist, provided a meaningful presentation to the PV students and staff on Veterans Day. He discussed the daily life of an enlisted soldier, including the training and challenges of dealing with Iraq’s climate. He spoke about his experience in Iraq focusing on his units’ humanitarian and nation building efforts. The presentation included the Iraqi culture, the rebuilding of its infrastructure, and the needs of school children.

Sergeant Major Greene has been in the service for 33 years and has a multitude of awards and decorations, including the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Badge and the Naval Presidential Unit Citation. He is currently stationed at the 85th Support Command in Arlington Heights.

Pictured are students who learned the proper way to fold the American flag.
