Select students from Grissom Middle School will have their artwork on display in the Youth Services Department at the Tinley Park Public Library May 5th through May 26th.
Guided by Art teacher, Mrs. Laura Garrity, students created works inspired by linear perspective and the masks of many cultures.
Sixth graders studied the functions of masks from around the world and created their own paper mache creations. Eighth graders learned about the Op Art genre and how to use a horizon line, vanishing point, and linear perspective to transform a two-dimensional surface into the illusion of a three-dimensional piece of art.
Be sure to stop by the library and check out our display!
