The Bluestem Award is a student choice award created by the Illinois School Library Media Association for students in grades 3-5. As a reward for reading at least three of these books, students were invited to lounge in the café-like environment, discuss the various books they had read, and play some team-building games in McAuliffe’s Learning Center.
