When fifth grade students at Bannes Elementary School heard that food was desperately needed at Together We Cope, a local food pantry located in Tinley Park, they decided that they had to help. With support from their parents, teachers, and classmates, they collected more than 30 boxes of food over the course of just one week.
“We stress caring, good citizenship, and responsibility as part of our curriculum,” said fifth grade teacher Jan Schneider. “It’s great to see our students applying it to real-life situations in their own community.”
A big THANKS to the entire Bannes Community for helping us help others!
