Keller Celebrates Veterans Day 11/2010

On Veteran's Day, Sergeant Major Kevin Greene, Principal JoAnn Greene's husband, spoke with students at an assembly.
He discussed the daily life of an enlisted soldier, including the training and challenges of dealing with Iraq’s climate. Sergeant Major Greene taught students how to fold an American flag, showed them the gear soldiers wear and how heavy it can be, and let the kids ask him questions. Under the direction of Janice Keogh, Keller Music teacher, students sang "Your a Grand Old Flag" at the end of the assembly.
