February 2012
February is a month packed with various holidays. From Groundhog Day to Valentine’s Day right through Lincoln’s Birthday and Presidents’ Day there are a variety of interesting lessons for your children to learn. Note there is no school on Monday Feb. 20 Presidents’ Day.
Watch for details regarding classroom Valentine Parties in teacher newsletters. They will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 1-2 in the afternoon. The older children in grades 3-5 have a modified party that includes a movie and a craft. At this age, parent volunteers are not needed.
Thank you for sending your children to school in warm coats, hats, gloves, and boots. When the weather allows, they enjoy some time outside during recess.
