D140 Welcomes Parents to Kindergarten Registration on Wednesday, March 15th

Kirby School District 140 welcomes parents to Kindergarten Registration for the 2017-18 school year on Wednesday, March 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please register your child at the elementary school building he or she is scheduled to attend. If you are unsure which school your child will attend, or need additional information, please visit ksd140.org or call the Administration Building at (708) 532-6462.
To attend school in the fall of 2017, children must be five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2017.
At the time of registration, parents must provide an original birth certificate with the county seal affixed and 3 proofs of residency as follows:
Category I: (one document required)
- Current closing papers
- Signed and dated lease with two rent receipts
- Mortgage statement or payment book/coupon
- Most recent property tax bill
Category II: (two documents required showing proper address)
- Driver’s license or State ID
- Voter’s registration card
- Current utility bill – gas, electric, water, cable or phone (not cell)
- Public Aid card
- Vehicle registration
- Homeowner’s or renter’s insurance premium receipt
It is also necessary to bring a parent’s work phone number, an emergency contact phone number, and a current email address.
For children born in Cook County, birth certificates may be obtained from the Cook County Clerk's Office at 10220 S. 76th Ave., Bridgeview, IL 60455 (708) 974-6150, ordered online at www.cookcountyclerk.com or by calling 866-252-8974.
