It is surprising, but with our return to school after winter break, my office is inundated with phone calls regarding a spring event. Although the 8th Grade Dance is months away it seems to loom in the minds of our 8th grade students. Please remember that the P.T.O. sponsored dance is a wonderful evening that is truly a memorable evening for our students, however it should not be a “prom”. more

Best of Luck to our D140 Solo & Ensemble Contest participants as they compete on Saturday, February 11th at Grissom Middle School!

No School in District 140 – Monday, February 20th – Presidents’ Day
Life is a Highway ... Where are you headed? Operation Snowflake 2012 will take place on Saturday, February 25th from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Grissom Middle School. Seventh and eighth grade students are invited to attend a day-long retreat featuring food, fun, guest speakers, challenges, dancing and more! Pre-registration is required.
START Day – Friday, March 2nd - Early Release for All Grades
Elementary Schools will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. and Middle Schools will be dismissed at 1:20 p.m. Early Childhood and Half-Day Kindergarten will be dismissed after 2 hours of student attendance.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2012-13 School Year - District 140 welcomes parents to Kindergarten Registration on Wednesday, March 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Parents should register at the elementary school building their child is scheduled to attend. If you are unsure which school
your child will attend, or need additional information, please call the Administration
