I would like to begin by thanking all of our students again for their participation in our Haiti relief fundraiser. Our goal was to collect $2,000.00, and we smashed that mark by collecting well over that amount. Congratulations to our District 140 band students for their outstanding performances at the IGSMA Band Contest and St. Laurence Band Directors' Festival on March 13th. Our Symphonic and Cadet Bands received a Division I (superior) rating and our Concert Band received a Division II (excellent) rating.
Grissom Art Club Selected to Participate in T.P.'s Benches on the Avenue Project! For the past several years, Tinley Park’s Benches on the Avenue public art project has been a huge success in generating local resident and tourist interest, as well as promoting an appreciation of the arts. This year, Grissom Middle School's Art Club was among the twenty-one participants selected to create a handcrafted wooden bench with the theme “When I Grow Up …”. Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Art Club members will be working collaboratively on the painting and construction of the bench. The benches will be on display mid-May through October 1st along Oak Park Avenue in downtown Tinley Park. Click here to view our weekly progress
Grissom Artwork to be Displayed at T.P. Library! Beginning March 12th, select 7th and 8th grade students from Grissom Middle School will have their artwork on display at the Tinley Park Public Library, located at 7851 Timber Drive. view

Our Spring Choral Concert is Wednesday, March 15th at 7:30 p.m.
District 140's Spring Break is March 22nd through March 26th. Classes resume in all Elementary and Middle Schools on March 29th.
Kindergarten Registration for the 2010-2011 school year is Wednesday, March 31st at the elementary school building the child is scheduled to attend. Registration hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you are unsure of which school, or need additional information, please call the Administration Building at (708) 532-6462. more
