Mr. S. Shannon (5-4)
Teacher
I started my journey to education in 1993 when I enrolled in Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, IN (Go Pumas!). I graduated in 1997 with a degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in math and science. I began teaching at Kirby Elementary in 1997, and transferred to Millennium Elementary when Kirby closed over ten years ago. While working in school district 140, I earned a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Governor's State University. I am currently in my 20th year of teaching in Kirby School District 140, and have loved every year. I try to bring an enthusiastic and humorous approach to teaching. Hopefully, this keeps your child more engaged in the lessons and keeps the learning fun!
I currently reside in Montgomery, IL with my sons, Brady and Ryder, and my wife Maddie.
