Millennium students and staff are invited to celebrate Kindness Week by participating in our Spirit Week February 12 -16.

  • Monday, February 12: Practice good sportsmanship.
Wear your favorite team gear or your school colors.
    • Challenge: Play a game, a sport, or compete in something. Agree to be happy for the winner (even if it’s not you). Congratulate the winner and move on - this is called being a good sport.
    • Book: The Big Cheese by Jory John
  • Tuesday, February 13: Kindness saves the day.
Dress like a superhero or wear blue.
    • Challenge: Challenge yourself to show kindness even if you’re upset. Remember, solving conflicts in a kind and calm way always brings a better outcome than by being mean.
    • Book: Dragon Was Terrible by Kelly DiPuccio
  • Wednesday, February 14: Kindness is delicious.
Wear your favorite Valentine’s clothes, or wear pink or red.
    • Challenge: Use “delicious” words or words that are kind and you feel good to as many as you can today.
    • Book: Taste Your Words by Bonnie Clark
  • Thursday, February 15: Mistakes happen. Show patience and compassion.
Wear mismatched clothes, silly socks, and/or a fun hat, or wear yellow.
    • Challenge: Help a family member or a friend finish a task today. Maybe start a task or chore without them even asking.
    • Book: Sneezy The Snowman by Maureen Wright
  • Friday, February 16: Be proud of who you are.
Wear comfy cozy pajamas or sweat pants or wear green.
    • Challenge: What makes you different makes you wonderful. Create a poem with the letters of your first name. For each letter think of one of your awesome qualities. Example: KSD - Kind, Special, Determined.
