Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled in all KSD 140 elementary and middle schools on Monday, November 25 from 1 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday, November 26 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

D140 students, teachers, and parents will be given the opportunity to weigh in on school climate and learning conditions by taking the Illinois 5Essentials survey.

November 15th is School Board Members Day - a time to salute the work of our volunteer school board members and to celebrate public education.

Schools throughout the District commemorated Veterans Day with special assemblies, patriotic programs, class projects and tributes to our military veterans.

he Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released Kirby School District’s annual School Report Card on Wednesday, Oct. 30th. The Report Card shows how well our District is progressing on a wide range of educational goals, including preparing all students for success in high school and beyond.

Thursday, October 31st is a HALF DAY. Elementary schools will be dismissed at 11:10 a.m. and middle schools at 12:00 p.m.

Please join us for a Tax Levy presentation at our D140 Board of Education Committee Meeting of the Whole on Tuesday, November 5th. The meeting will be held at Prairie View Middle School at 7:00 pm.

During Red Ribbon Week, schools across the nation join together to promote a drug-free lifestyle and encourage students to make positive, healthy choices.

Please join us for D140’s Eighth Grade Parent Information Night on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6:30 p.m. in the main gym at Prairie View Middle School. The primary focus of this event is to outline the transition process from eighth grade to high school.

The WGN morning news traffic helicopter 's “Friday Flyover” has been rescheduled to Friday, September 27th! We'll be LIVE ON AIR at 7:20 a.m.!

School board members and District administrators honored five students for their good character and acts of citizenship at Thursday’s Board of Education Meeting.

Due to weather, the WGN Flyover event has been rescheduled to Friday, September 27th. Updated information will be coming home to families soon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and are looking forward to celebrating with you on Friday, September 27th!
