Registration Fee Discount Ends April 30
District 140 Beginning Band members performed before a packed gymnasium at Prairie View Middle School on January 22nd. Fifth grade band members from Bannes, Fernway, Keller, McAuliffe and Millennium comprised the over 130 person ensemble led by Band Directors Mark Hodges, Kristen Schubbe, and Mike Szczasny. Each instrument section had a feature song to demonstrate and showcase their unique talents to the audience.
The concert concluded with two numbers performed by the D140 Jazz Ensemble to show parents how the instrumental music program progresses from fifth grade through eighth grade.
