Dear Fernway Families,
I’m excited to share some wonderful news – Fernway is getting a major renovation! With the Board of Education’s approval at last night’s meeting, we’re moving ahead with a plan to improve our learning spaces, upgrade infrastructure, and better support the day-to-day needs of our school community.
Key features of the project include:
- A 12,000+ square foot addition featuring a brand-new gym, secure main entrance, enhanced learning spaces, and an improved electrical room
- Over 42,000 square feet of renovations throughout the building, including the commons, media center, school office, restrooms, and select classrooms
- A full modernization of Fernway’s infrastructure, with updated HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and data systems
- Construction is scheduled to begin in June 2025, with completion targeted for the start of the 2026–27 school year. During the 2025–26 school year, students and staff will continue to safely learn and work in our current building without disruption to the school day.
This renovation represents a strong step forward for Fernway and reflects the District’s continued commitment to high-quality learning environments. I’m grateful to be part of a community that supports its schools and invests in the future.
