D140 Board of Ed Approves 2023-24 School Year Calendar

The D140 Board of Education approved the 2023-24 School Year Calendar at their February meeting. Highlights include:

  • The 2023-24 School Year begins with two Teacher Institute Days on Monday, August 21, and Tuesday, August 22.
  • The first day of student attendance for all grades is Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
  • Winter Break will begin at the close of school on Friday, December 22, 2023 (Half-Day). Teachers will return for an Institute Day on Monday, January 8, 2024. Students will return on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
  • Spring Break will begin at the close of school on Friday, March 22, 2024. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
  • If no emergency days are used, the last student attendance day will be a Half-Day on Monday, June 3, 2024.
