A new chapter begins at Keller Elementary School this July as Alex Weinberg steps into the role of principal. Weinberg joins Keller after serving as an assistant principal at Grissom Middle School and brings more than 12 years of education experience to the position.
“What excites me most about this opportunity is the chance to build connections with the people who make Keller such a special place,” said Weinberg. “ I’m looking forward to listening, learning, and working alongside students, staff, and families to support a strong and successful school community."
Weinberg holds a Master’s in School Leadership from Concordia University - Chicago, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign.
Keller’s building updates are expected to wrap up this fall and will include additional classrooms, relocated play areas, and a dedicated space for bus rider arrival and dismissal. Weinberg said he looks forward to joining the school community during this exciting time.
“Starting a new school year always brings a sense of possibility, and that feels especially true at Keller right now,” Weinberg said. “I’m excited to get to know the students, staff, and families and to help build on the great work already happening here.”
