First-grader Dua L. was recognized for her winning grade-level poster and celebrated her achievement with a special ride to school aboard a Tinley Park fire truck.

Each fall, the Tinley Park Fire Department hosts a poster contest to recognize National Fire Prevention Week. Kindergarten through eighth-grade students are invited to create posters highlighting the year's Fire Prevention Week theme. This year's theme, "Charge into Fire Safety. Safe Charging is a Superpower,” encouraged students to learn more about an important fire safety topic.

Congratulations Dua!
