Grissom’s schoolwide Spelling Bee featured 16 talented participants in grades six to eight, who all qualified as top five spellers in their respective grade level bees. The competition was fierce, but ultimately Chloe B. clinched first place, with Patrick T. securing second and Donovan R. third.
The final word that determined the champion was “mitosis." The event not only showcased students' spelling abilities but also created an exciting, competitive atmosphere, highlighting the academic achievements of our middle school participants.
Best of luck to our first and second-place champions, who advance to the District 140 Spelling Bee on Friday, January 9. Our third-place winner will be an alternate representative.
