Five D140 Symphonic Band Members Selected for All-Illinois Junior Band

Congratulations to KSD 140 Symphonic Band members Lukas B., Ryan K., Liam L., Adam M., and Emmett W. These students were selected from those who auditioned throughout the entire State of Illinois to perform with the All-Illinois Junior Band (AIJB) on Saturday, January 17, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.   

The AIJB is an All-State Honor Band composed of junior high musicians selected through a rigorous audition process. The students rehearsed on Friday and Saturday under the direction of Professor Chris Gleason. 

Saturday's performance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Foellinger Great Hall was outstanding.  

Kudos to our musicians on this tremendous accomplishment!
