IAR Growth

Illinois uses student growth percentiles (SGP) to calculate growth. Proficiency shows whether or not students have mastered a common, high standard; whereas growth recognizes progress toward and beyond the standard, no matter where each student started. This chart shows the percentage growth of students relative to other students in the state with a similar scale score in the preceding school year in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math.
