Beginning with the 2021-22 school year, educator Kelly Folliard will join KSD 140’s administrative team as the new assistant principal of McAuliffe Elementary School. Principal Dr. Annette Szczasny believes Ms. Folliard’s strong track record of successful elementary teaching and leadership experience will be a great asset to an already established teaching staff and school community.

Ms. Folliard holds both a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University and a master’s degree in Reading from Governors State University. She is also a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Mathematics. For the past twelve years, Ms. Folliard has served as a paraeducator, kindergarten teacher, math interventionist, and curriculum facilitator within Kirby School District 140.

“I am honored and humbled to be named as the Assistant Principal for McAuliffe and Millennium Elementary Schools,” stated Ms. Folliard. “The staff, students, and community members of KSD140 have always been committed to fostering an environment allowing all learners to thrive. I know I am where I belong!”
