On Monday, September 15, District 140 staff gathered at Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park for an Institute Day focused on culture, collaboration, and professional growth.

The day began with a special meet-and-greet with keynote speaker Gerry Brooks, allowing staff to connect with him personally before his presentation. Brooks then kicked off the event with an energizing talk blending humor and practical advice to highlight how a positive workplace climate strengthens school communities.

In the afternoon, Becky Gonzini and Katie Clark-Keene continued their series with Teach, Train, Thrive – Part 2, engaging staff in professional development designed to support effective instruction and thriving classrooms.

District 140 is proud of the enthusiasm, collaboration, and dedication shown by its staff, and looks forward to carrying the momentum of this professional learning into the 2025–26 school year.
