Winning the annual Fire Prevention Poster Contest has its perks. Fifth-grader Bella C., who was the grand prize winner, was recognized for her grade-level-winning submission and celebrated with a ride to school aboard a Tinley Park fire truck.
As part of National Fire Prevention Week, the Tinley Park Fire Department holds a poster contest each fall, inviting first through eighth-grade students to create posters centered around the year’s Fire Prevention Week theme. This year’s theme was “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.”
Congratulations to all students who participated and shared their creativity in promoting fire safety!
