Welcome! KSD 140 elementary principals and kindergarten teachers will meet with kindergarten students and their parents during the third week of August.
Beginning this year, middle school social studies and science classes will be taught in either 40-minute periods on the same day or in 80-minute blocked classes on alternating days.
Elementary classroom assignments and middle school student schedules will be released via Infinite Campus on Monday, August 8, 2022. Transportation information will be available in portals on Monday, August 15.

Grissom and Prairie View middle school student schedules will look a little different this year. We are no longer splitting grade levels into two separate teams.
Senate Bill 157 lowers the tax rate on clothes and school supplies from 6.25% to 1.25% for Illinois residents for ten days from August 5 - 14. For more information on the sales tax holiday, click here.

Grissom and Prairie View's Parent/Student Walkthrough will be held on Wednesday, August 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Kirby School District 140 has preschool openings for the 2022-23 school year. The program is taught by Illinois State Board of Education licensed Early Childhood teachers.
