Four of KSD 140's finest jazz musicians participated in the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) Jazz Festival on Saturday, November 11, at Homewood Flossmoor High School.
Congratulations to Olivia C., Miriam A., Gianna O., and David J.! These students were selected from the hundreds of students who auditioned from the greater Chicagoland area and were featured as soloists throughout the performance.
Mr. Szczasny and Mr. Hodges served as ILMEA District 1 Jazz Representatives and were unanimously elected by their peers to serve again at next year's festival. Mr. Szczasny, Mr. Hodges, Mrs. Angelos, Mr. Forlenza, and Mr. Hansen couldn't be more proud of our student's performance.
