In recognition of 25 years of good sportsmanship, healthy competition and fair play between District 140’s two middle schools, Grissom and Prairie View coaches and club sponsors were honored at the March 15th Board of Education meeting.
Throughout the school year, the Grissom Patriots and Prairie View Eagles regularly compete against each other in Southwest Interscholastic Conference (SWIC) basketball, cheerleading, cross country, declamation, mathletes, softball and volleyball competitions, as well as various community service and fundraising projects.
A big THANKS goes out to each and every one of our SWIC coaches and club sponsors for their commitment to fairness, respect for their opponents and graciousness in winning or losing. We appreciate the example you set for our students!
