Elementary Students Hit Their Stride at District Track Meet

Fourth and fifth grade D140 athletes gathered for an afternoon of friendly competition at the District's annual track meet held on Wednesday, May 16th at Andrew High School.

Students participated in a number of traditional track & field events including the softball throw, long jump, and the 400m, 200m, 100m, 60m, 4X100m, 4x400m individual and relay events.  The full 1/4-mile track with lane markings, starter pistol starts, timing, and cheering crowds were a definite change from their elementary track experiences.
