Another Championship Season for Grissom’s 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball Team!

While the winter season provided sub-zero temperatures outside, the Grissom Patriots turned up the heat indoors on the basketball court. For the first time since 2001, the 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball Team earned the title of SWIC Conference Champions!

The Patriots hustled and battled to finish the regular season with a conference-best record of 14-2. Although the Patriots lost mid-season contests to Tinley Central (8 points) and Conrady (1 point), they stayed tough to finish the regular season on an 8-game win streak. The regular season ended in a nail-biter finish in which the Patriots edged out a 42-40 victory over Tinley Central to secure the title of SWIC Conference Champions.
