PV Students Selected for TP’s Benches on the Avenue Art Project

The Village of Tinley Park recently revealed the creations for their sixteenth annual Benches on the Avenue public art project. This year's theme is “Prized Page Turners” and features imaginative, three-dimensional works that depict some of the most extraordinary and captivating popular novels of all time.

Congratulations to two of our very own Prairie View Eagles who submitted sketches and were selected for the project. Seventh-graders Delaney and Kathleen designed and created a bench based on beloved fictional character, Paddington Bear. Be sure to stop by and check out their bench in front of the Subway on Oak Park Avenue!

Tinley Park's Benches on the Avenue public art program has become one of the Village's most popular attractions, drawing thousands of residents and visitors annually to Downtown Tinley. The colorful benches feature the work of both amateur and professional artists and provide spots to rest and enjoy the fantastic creations while strolling through town. Benches will be on display mid-May through October.
