Preschool Students Star in Red Carpet Event

On Thursday, January 23rd, Fernway’s preschool students participated in the school’s annual fashion show. Before each student took a walk down the red carpet, they informed the audience of the various features of the clothes that they were wearing.  

This event was a culminating activity to a clothing unit and allowed students to not only express themselves creatively, but also to utilize the skills and concepts discussed in class. The six-week unit of study, which had a heavy focus on vocabulary and fine motor skills, gave students the opportunity to sew, thread a needle, design, and compare clothes.
