This past summer, KSD 140 welcomed Dr. Daniel Callaghan to its Central Office Administrative team as Director of Curriculum & Instruction. Dr. Callaghan is charged with leading the district’s planning, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instruction, federal programs, assessment, and evaluation services.

He holds a Doctorate of Educational Leadership degree from the University of St. Francis, a master's degree in School Administration from Governors State University, and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Trinity Christian College. Dr. Callaghan has been with the district for 18 years and was most recently the Principal of Bannes Elementary School. He was also the assistant principal of Prairie View Middle School and a teacher at both Prairie View and Millennium Elementary School.

“I am beyond excited to begin this new chapter in my career,” stated Dr. Callaghan. “As a former District 140 student, I am honored to be able to give back to the community which gave me so much.”

“I look forward to working with the entire KSD 140 community to continue to move our district forward.”
