D140 Girls’ Softball Teams Place in SWIC Tournament

What an exciting week for our Grissom and Prairie View Girls’ Softball teams! On Monday, October 3, both teams advanced in the Southwest Interscholastic Conference (SWIC) tournament by defeating the second and third-seeded teams.

On Tuesday, October 4, Grissom and Prairie played each other in the semi-finals, and Prairie View moved on to play in the championship game.

The Prairie View girls’ team took second place in the SWIC tournament and ended with a 10-5 record, including post-season play. The Grissom girls’ team took fourth place in the SWIC tournament and finished with an 8-7 record, including post-season play.
