Today, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released Kirby School District 140’s annual Report Card. The Report Card shows how well our District is progressing on a wide range of educational goals.
One component of the School Report Card is the annual summative designation – a descriptor of how well our school is meeting the needs of all students. This designation is federally required and is based on eight indicators of academic performance, including English Language Arts Growth, Math Growth, English Language Arts Proficiency, Math Proficiency, Science Proficiency, English Learner Progress to Proficiency, Chronic Absenteeism, and Climate.
We are pleased to report that District 140 received two Exemplary and five Commendable designations. Both Fernway and Millennium received an overall designation of Exemplary, while Bannes, Grissom, Keller, McAuliffe, and Prairie View all received a designation of Commendable.
We hold high expectations for our students, and we believe every student can meet our expectations with the right supports. Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to ensure every child in D140 is thriving.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact D140 Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction, Dr. Meghan Ramirez, at 708-532-6462 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
