KSD 140 Athletes to Compete in Special Olympics Spring Games

Best of luck to the sixteen KSD 140 athletes participating in the Special Olympics Track & Field Spring Games at Thornwood High School on May 6 and May 7!

Participants will be competing in a variety of track & field events, including 50-meter run, 100-meter run, Tennis Ball Throw, Softball Throw, Standing Long Jump, and Shot Put.  Athletes who bring home gold medals in these events will be eligible to compete in the Special Olympic State Games at Illinois State University in June.

Thornwood High School is located at 17101 S. Park Avenue, South Holland, IL.

Please come and support our athletes! Look for the KSD 140 tent to join the fun.

Saturday, May 6: 

• 8:30 am - Tennis Ball Throw
• 9:00 am - Opening Ceremony
• 10:00 am - 12:45 pm - 50-meter run, 100-meter run, Softball Throw and Shot Put

Sunday, May 7:

• 10:00 -10:30 am - Standing Long Jump
