McAuliffe Student Wins “Girl Scouts to the Moon and Back” Essay Contest

Congratulation to fifth-grader Allison B. whose “Girl Scouts to the Moon and Back” essay was chosen and awarded a prestigious Space Science badge! 

In 2022, the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) sponsored a “Girl Scouts to the Moon and Back” essay contest giving Girl Scouts a chance to win a Space Science badge that would travel to space on NASA’s Artemis I mission. This mission would be NASA’s first step toward the goal of sending the first woman and the first person of color to the moon. GSUSA provided activities for the girls to participate in before, during, and after the launch on November 16, 2022.
