Fourteen student-athletes from Kirby School District 140 competed at the 2025 Special Olympics Track & Field Spring Games at Busey Bank Field - Joliet Memorial Stadium on April 26 and 27.
They brought home fourteen gold medals, eight silver medals, three bronze medals, one fourth-place ribbon, and one fifth-place ribbon.
Ten student-athletes, four of whom earned double gold medals, qualified to compete in the Special Olympic State Games in June. The state games will be at Illinois State University.
