Congratulations to Grissom Middle School’s girls’ cross-country team for capturing back-to-back SWIC Conference Championships! The Patriots dominated the race, with Magda G., Kate K., and Lanie S. all finishing in the top ten. Coached by Katie Ryan and Diane Raslavicz, the championship team included Brooklyn D., Magda G., Angel J., Kate K., Sydney S., Olivia S., and Lanie S.
The Grissom boys’ team also had a strong showing, finishing fourth overall, with Hudson R. placing in the top ten.
In the open races, the Patriots continued their success. The girls' team placed second, with Isabel B., Maeve H., and Lily N. placing in the top ten. The boys placed fourth, with Jacob V. placing in the top ten.
“This season was all about teamwork, perseverance, and growth,” said Coach Ryan.
“Winning the girls’ conference championship and seeing so many athletes place in the top ten is a reflection of their dedication and hard work,” added Coach Raslavicz. “We couldn’t be prouder of how both teams represented Grissom.”
