District 140 Schools Raise More Than $34,000 for Childhood Cancer Research

A student with half their head shaved sits with a green cape draped over them, while a hair stylist cuts the other half for St. Baldrick's.

In a heartwarming display of generosity and compassion, students and staff members from Helen Keller Elementary School and Grissom Middle School participated in St. Baldrick’s head-shaving events on March 19.

Together, with the support of the District 140 community, participants raised more than $34,000 for childhood cancer research.

Thank you to everyone who helped make these events a success. The generosity of students, staff, and families continues to reflect the caring spirit of our school communities.
