Kirby School District 140 students showcased their academic talent at the annual South Cook Math Bowl held April 30 and May 1 at Prairie State College, earning multiple awards in individual and team competitions.
The event brought together over 300 top-performing math students from 23 school districts across the south and southwest suburbs. Participants competed in challenging individual and team math events designed to highlight critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Each day, students from KSD 140 represented the district with pride, having been selected based on the highest math test scores per grade. According to district math coaches, the strong showing reflects the dedication and preparation of both students and their teachers.
Individual winners:

- David D. - 2nd place, 6th grade
- Tommy F. - 5th place, 7th grade
