Five student-athletes from Kirby School District 140 excelled at the 2026 Special Olympics Summer State Games, held from June 12 to 14, at Illinois State University.

Our athletes represented KSD 140 with determination, sportsmanship, and pride. The team brought home one gold medal, two silver medals, one bronze medal, and two fourth-place ribbons.

Congratulations to Jeremiah A., Issac A., Gabriella F., Ryan G., and Aaron K-M.

We are so proud of every athlete. Way to represent KSD 140!

A big thank you goes out to Special Olympics Coordinators Chrisie DeCarlo and Katherine Fricano, as well as everyone who came out to support the team!
