PV Teams Test Their Knowledge in Annual Battle of the Books Competition April 17, 2019

Nearly 100 students from sixth, seventh and eighth grades went head-to-head in Prairie View's annual Battle of the Books on Friday, April 12th. Moderated by teen librarians from the Tinley Park Library, the battle tested contenders' knowledge and comprehension of this year's Rebecca Caudill Book Award nominees. Competition was fierce, but after several rounds, three teams emerged victorious.

Sixth grade winning team members included  Matthew Sim, Brendan Schwartz, Paul Boblak, Eli Hoekstra, and Matthew Boyle. Seventh grade winning team members included Sean Kammerzell, Mark Flisk, Joshua Evans, Benjamin Delaleurs, Will Thomas, and Andrew Mammarappallil. And finally, our eighth grade grand champion team included Charlianne Johnson, Anjali Jacob, Adora E-Ogbeide, Mia Graves, and Riley Sopkin

All teams came prepared to win and deserve recognition. Congratulations to our participants on a job well done!
