How is Remote Learning changing from the first quarter to the second quarter?

Kirby School District 140 has essentially created a “remote learning” school. The assigned teacher will strive to create a classroom environment that mirrors that of in-person learning. They will deliver 2.5 hours of live, explicit instruction in the core subject areas. Additionally, 2.5 hours of engaged blended (synchronous and asynchronous) learning activities will be delivered daily for specials/enrichments,support services, and independent practice or applications used for core subjects. Due to staffing, some MIDDLE SCHOOL students who are learning remotely may be in "District” remote classes with a mix of students from Prairie View and Grissom. Teachers may be from either PV OR GMS.
