Notice: April 4, 2023 School Board Election

Kirby School District 140 will have three (3) four-year seats available on our seven-member Board of Education. The seats will be filled following the April 4, 2023 election. Candidates who are elected will fill four-year terms expiring in April 2027.

To be eligible to serve as a school board member, you must be, on the date of election, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, a registered voter, and a resident of the State of Illinois and Kirby School District 140 for at least one year immediately preceding the election. 

Candidates for the office of school board can begin to circulate nominating petitions for signatures beginning September 20, 2022. For more information, you may want to consult the "2023 Candidate's Guide," which can be downloaded at www.elections.il.gov/main/publications.aspx
