District 140 Annual Food Drive Challenge Runs January 23 - 27


It's game on for a great cause! D140 middle schools are competing against each other to see which school can bring in the most non-perishable food items for the Tinley Park Food Pantry. Students are encouraged to bring in donations between January 23 - 27.

All students who donate food earn ​one raffle ticket per item.  If your food donations match the following ​theme days, you will be given ​two raffle tickets per item!  Those raffle tickets earn you the chance to win gift cards!

Students in sixth and eighth grade should drop off their donations to their first-period teachers. Seventh-grade students should drop off their donations to their second-period teachers.

Food Drive Challenge Theme Days:

  • Monday, January 23 - Tin Can Monday
    All canned goods
  • Tuesday, January 24 -Taco Tuesday
    Beans, hard taco shells, taco sauce, taco seasoning, salsa, rice
  • Wednesday, January 25 - Pasta Party
    Pastas, pasta sauces, tomato sauce
  • Thursday, January 26 - Treat Day
    Cookies, fruit snacks, juice boxes, snack foods, granola bars
  • Friday, January 27 - Souper Friday
    Cans of soup
