Three of KSD 140's finest jazz musicians participated in the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) District 1 Jazz Festival on Saturday, November 15, at Argo High School.
Congratulations to Lukas B., Ryan K., and Zach S.! These students were selected from the hundreds of students who auditioned from the greater Chicagoland area and were featured as soloists throughout the performance.
This was Mr. Szczasny's last year as the ILMEA District 1 Jr. Jazz Representative, and the membership unanimously chose him to serve as guest conductor next year. The membership unanimously elected Mr. Hodges to continue as the District 1 representative.
