Just a reminder ... Wednesday, February 27th is a START Day. Elementary schools will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. and middle schools will be dismissed at 1:20 p.m.

On February 21st, the D140 Board of Education awarded a certificate for character, citizenship and bravery to Millennium Elementary fourth grader Angelina Marsella.

The Association of School Business Officials International has awarded Kirby School District 140 its Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) for excellence in budget presentation during the 2018-19 budget year. This is the 14th consecutive year that the District has achieved this distinction.

Our sincere thanks to motivational speaker Robert Jackson for sharing his tactics for building cultural awareness and effective communication with our staff, students and parents in early January.

The Board of Education and I are so appreciative of the staff, parents, and community members who enthusiastically support Kirby School District 140 each year. In 2018, the District focused on curriculum enhancements and celebrated numerous student achievements and service learning opportunities.

There is NO school on Monday, January 21st. Our Make Up Snow Day is FEBRUARY 18th.

Just a reminder ... Friday, December 21st is a Half-Day. Elementary schools will be dismissed at 11:10 am and middle schools will be dismissed at 12 noon.
